Every Kalari journey begins with gratitude — to the teacher, to the lineage, and to the art itself.
We honour our master, Swami Hanuman Das Gurukkal, whose life and teachings continue to guide our work at Kalari University. His dedication to the traditional path of Kalaripayattu remains a living source of inspiration for all who train in this art.
Through his lineage, we carry forward the same spirit of humility, discipline, and embodied wisdom that defines the heart of Kalari.
Most of us spend our days sitting, thinking, scrolling, and rushing.
Our bodies grow tight, our minds become tired, and movement starts to feel mechanical.
Even when we try to stay fit, we often miss something deeper — a real connection between body and mind.
In time, this disconnection shows up as stress, imbalance, and lack of energy.
We lose touch with our natural rhythm.
Kalari begins exactly here — with the wish to come back home to the body, to move with awareness, and to rediscover the quiet strength that lives inside.

The first step in Kalari is simple: to reconnect with your own body.
Through this program, you will learn how to move with strength and softness at the same time — how to feel, not just perform.
In three months, you’ll start to sense a new relationship with your body.
Your breath deepens. Your focus returns. You move with more clarity and calm.
This is not about speed or perfection. It is about awareness — learning to listen to your body and respond with intelligence.
When you practice regularly, Kalari becomes more than exercise.
It becomes a way of living with balance, purpose, and quiet confidence.
This course gives you the full base of Kalari training — the essential movements, principles, and rhythm that prepare you for all next levels. You’ll receive clear guidance, weekly structure, and real-time support from our trainers and community.
Step-by-step lessons released weekly to help you build a strong and natural foundation.
Train together, ask questions, and receive live corrections.Recordings are available if you cannot join live.
A final month to repeat, refine, and prepare — so the movements become part of your body memory.
Deep sessions to understand the purpose, history, and principles behind the art.
Train with students from India, Europe, and beyond — share progress, stay motivated, and learn together.
At the end of your training, you can book a personal review with a teacher to receive feedback and guidance for your next step.
Early-bird access open now. Limited seats per cohort.
The Kalari Foundations program combines structure with freedom — giving you a rhythm that supports real learning and lasting change.
Each week, you’ll receive a new video lesson that introduces key movements and principles. Alongside this, you’ll join two live online classes where our instructors guide you through practice, answer your questions, and help you refine your form.
The weekly rhythm keeps your body engaged and your mind focused. There is time to learn, time to repeat, and time to absorb.
Our approach is principle-based — you learn through feeling and awareness, not by memorizing long sequences.
You’ll notice that even a few minutes of consistent practice begin to shift your posture, your breathing, and your state of mind.

Kalaripayattu, often called the mother of Indian martial arts, is more than combat. It is a discipline of awareness — a way to unite movement, breath, and attention.
At Kalari University, we teach this art as a path of reconnection: a return to your natural strength and balance.
In Kalari, every gesture has meaning. Every movement trains not just the body, but the nervous system — helping you regulate energy, release stress, and develop calm focus.
We honour this tradition by sharing it with clarity, respect, and accessibility — allowing students everywhere to experience the heart of Kalari in their own lives.
This course is open to anyone who wants to begin the Kalari path with structure, guidance, and respect for tradition.
You do not need any previous experience — only curiosity and a willingness to learn through movement.
Kalari Foundations is designed for:
✔️ People who feel disconnected from their body and want to rebuild strength and awareness
✔️ Beginners who wish to start Kalari correctly, from the roots
✔️ Practitioners of yoga, dance, or fitness who want to deepen body intelligence
✔️ Working professionals seeking focus, calm, and balance in daily life
✔️ Those who value learning from authentic Indian tradition in a modern, respectful format
Whether you join from India, Europe, or anywhere in the world — you’ll be training with the same community, following the same path, step by step.
